Dr. Chris Glover, Professor and CAIP Research Chair
Dr. Chris Glover, ARBRI’s CAIP Chair for Hydroecology and Environmental Health, came to Athabasca University from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Chris completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Science at King's College, London focussing on the role of physiology in influencing metal uptake and toxicity in fish. Further work in the ecotoxicology of aquatic biota was conducted under the mentorship of Professor Chris Wood at McMaster University before taking a position as Research Scientist in mammalian toxicogenomics at the National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood Research in Norway.
Chris’ research interests include: environmental physiology of aquatic organisms; epithelial transport of ions, nutrients and toxicants; aquatic toxicology; seafood safety.
